Terms & Conditions

  1. By entering one of the prize draws, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions governing this promotion and by any other requirements set out in related promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by participating, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.
  2. The prize draws are only open to UK residents aged 18 years old and over, excluding employees of the Promoter, their families, the Promoter's agents and any other persons professionally connected with the promotion.
  3. The promotion will begin at 00:01 on 1st September 2024 and will close at 23:59 on 31st August 2025 (“Promotion Period”). Entries received after the end of the Promotion Period will not be accepted.
  4. How to enter: Entrants can enter this promotion via the QR code on promotional displays in stores or via www.lensesprizedraw.co.uk/holidayvoucher during the Promotion Period after purchasing a pair of ZEISS PhotoFusion X or ZEISS AdaptiveSun lenses in store or online from an independent optician. Entrants will need to enter their full name, email address, phone number, the name of the independent optician where they purchased their ZEISS PhotoFusion X or ZEISS AdaptiveSun lenses (online or in-store) and submit a clear image of their receipt proving the purchase.
  5. One entry per person. 
  6. Purchase necessary. Internet access required.
  7. Retain proof of purchase showing date of purchase during the Promotional Period and prior to the date of entry. 
  8. Exclusions apply. ZEISS PhotoFusion X or ZEISS AdaptiveSun lenses purchased from the following opticians are not included: Boots Opticians, Specsavers, Vision Express, Bayfields Opticians, Cubitts, Scrivens, Costco Opticians, Optical Express, Supermarket Opticians & any mid-size or national optician chains in UK.
  9. Entrants who make an entry on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s discretion. 
  10. Entries (bulk or otherwise) made from trade, syndicates, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is reposting the same content multiple times or using a computer(s) to circumvent this or any other condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’ or any other automated means, that person’s entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
  11. Prizes: There are 2 x £1000 holiday vouchers available to be won throughout the Promotional Period, with 1 x voucher being awarded for each prize draw. For specific draw dates, please refer to the Winner Selection section below.  Winners will have a choice of either a £1000 Jet2 voucher or a £1000 TUI voucher. 
  12. Winner selection: Winners will be selected by a randomised computer process from all valid entries received within the relevant prize draw period set out below. There will be 2 prize draws during the Promotion Period. The winners will be notified via email using the details provided on entry. Each prize draw entry period will run as follows:
    1. Prize draw 1: Entries received between 00.01 on 01/09/24 to 23.59 on 28/02/25. Prize draw will take place by 14/03/25.
    2. Prize draw 2: Entries received between 00.01 on 01/03/25 to 23.59 on 31/08/25. Prize draw will take place by 14/10/25.
  13. Winners will be contacted within 14 days after each draw date. Two attempts will be made to contact each winner. 
  14. The prize will be sent to the winner within 14 working days from the date upon which the winner confirms acceptance of the prize and the completion of any verification process. County of residence will be requested for the purpose of the winners list if no objection is received.
  15. In the case that a winner does not provide valid acceptance of the prize within 14 working days of the second notification by the Promoter, rejects their prize, or is ineligible, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and another winner will be selected using the same methodology as above. The process will be repeated twice, after which any unclaimed prizes will be deemed null and void. Entrants are encouraged to monitor their email account during this time in case they are the winner.
  16. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
  17. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery.
  18. The winner may be requested, at the Promoter’s discretion, to participate in reasonable promotional activity including a case study, and publicity and photography surrounding the winning of the prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and images in promotional material.
  19. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries including but not limited to asking for proof of purchase and ID (passport, driving licence or equivalent) and refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the spirit of the promotion, any instructions forming part of this promotion’s entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating or won using fraudulent means.
  20. It is the responsibility of the entrant to provide correct, up-to-date details when entering the promotion and on prize acceptance. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance or delivery of their prize
  21. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies do not exclude or limit in any way their responsibility for losses that the entrant suffers where it would be unlawful to do so (which includes death or personal injury caused by the Promoter's negligence). Subject to the above, the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be responsible for any loss, expense or damage which is suffered or sustained in connection with this promotion that is:
    1. Unexpected (i.e. it was not obvious that it would happen and nothing the entrant stated to the Promoter meant that the Promoter should have expected it);
    2. Caused by a delaying event outside the Promoter's control (provided that the Promoter has taken reasonable steps to prevent or minimise the delay);
    3. Avoidable (i.e. something that the entrant could have avoided by taking reasonable action); and/or
    4. A business loss (i.e. it relates to the entrant's trade, business, craft or profession).
  22. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation, this also includes the selling of prizes to third parties. In the event for any reason the prize winners do not take an element of their prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winners and neither cash nor any other form of compensation will be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize. If for any reason a prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute another prize for it, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value.
  23. The Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability in any way for the inability to meet delivery timeframes in the event of any national or local lockdowns, or any circumstances resulting from Covid-19 affecting the prize delivery supply chain. Should Covid-19 affect the ability to meet these deadlines, the Promoter will fulfil its obligations as soon as it is reasonably possible.
  24. If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, or invalidate any affected entries.
  25. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions (including but not limited to global or regional health crises, weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, epidemic, pandemic, famine, plague or other natural calamities and acts of God), the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
  26. The Promoter has no control over internet or communication networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, user error and any network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent a participant’s entry to the promotion.
  27. The Promoter is required to either publish or make available information that indicates a valid award took place. As such, the Promoter will send the surname and county of residence of prize winners to anyone that contacts the Promoter at the info@lensesprizedraw.com no later than 3 months after the end of the Promotion Period.
  28. If a winner objects to any or all of their surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, they should contact the Promoter at info@lensesprizedraw.com. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to competent authorities, including the Advertising Standard Authority, on request.
  29. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect
  30. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales (for entrants that reside in the UK) If any entrant to this promotion wishes to take court proceedings, then they agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the relevant country they reside in, being courts within the UK.        
  31. By entering this Promotion, you give the Promoter and its agencies your consent to process your personal data for the purpose of conducting this promotion only and in its accordance with its privacy policy which can be found at https://www.zeiss.co.uk/data-protection/home.html. The Promoter may disclose winners’ personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this promotion, fulfilling the prizes or communicating with entrants. Agency privacy policy’s found at www.lensesprizedraw.co.uk/privacypolicyData will be stored for 3 months after the close of the Promotion Period before deletion.
  32. The Promoter is bound by the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (Regulation (EU) 2016/679). Personal data will be held for the purpose of the promotion only and will be deleted within 3 months of the winner accepting the prize.
